What OpenAI Dots are (official)
Per openai.com/index/introducing-dots (Sept 29, 2026; model update Nov 3, 2026): dots are always-on agents with their own cloud computer and browser, plugin/app connections, progress between conversations, and approval controls / Custom Rules.
First dot is included with Pro or Business Premium at no extra cost; plan includes an allowance for deeper work. Conversations with your dot don't count toward ChatGPT usage limits; Codex / ChatGPT Work tasks started by a dot count as usual (OpenAI intro post).
Reach dots via ChatGPT (web/desktop/mobile), Slack, and Teams per OpenAI. Enterprise: off by default until an admin enables.
What Grok Bot is (official)
Named Bots, skills, routines, connectors, shared cloud computer, Vault, shopping cards (changelog v0.78.1), desktop/mobile apps, optional @bot on X (region limits), phone Calls under Terms §2.7 while rolling out.
Included on X Subscription Premium $30 / Super $100 / Ultra $200 with a shared weekly pool (x.ai/pricing).
