Grok Bot for sales: an AI agent to follow up with leads
Short answer
Grok Bot can act as an AI agent to follow up with leads: it researches prospects before a call (overnight if you schedule it), turn a call transcript into a follow-up draft in the prospect's own words, pull objections from recorded calls, and run a weekly pipeline review on a schedule. It works through connectors such as Gmail, Calendar, and Notion, and a browser for everything else, and it drafts for you to approve instead of sending on its own.
Grok Bot is xAI's desktop agent, which is different from the Grok chatbot (the Grok chat app). This page is part of Grok Use Cases, an independent, unofficial site. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by xAI, Grok, X, or Cursor.

Pre-call brief
I have a call with [name] at [company] at [time]. Use their website, their LinkedIn page if I'm logged in, and our past emails in Gmail. Give me a one-page brief: what they do, recent news with links, three discovery questions, and two objections they might raise. Mark anything you couldn't verify as unverified.
Call to follow-up draft
Here's the transcript from today's call with [name]. Draft a follow-up email under 150 words that uses their exact words for the problem, lists the next step we agreed, and proposes two times from my Calendar next week. Save it as a Gmail draft. Do not send.
Objection notes
Read the last five call transcripts in [folder]. List every objection verbatim with the call name and timestamp, group them by theme, and draft one short reply per theme in my voice. Don't invent quotes.
Pipeline Monday routine
Every Monday at 8:00, open my deals in [Notion database / CRM]. List deals with no activity in 10 days or no next step, and draft a one-line nudge for each. Put the list in a Notion page and wait for my OK before any email goes out.
No-show recovery
When a meeting on my Calendar titled 'Discovery' ends and the attendee didn't join, draft a same-day reschedule email and a second one for 48 hours later, both with two open slots from my Calendar. Drafts only.
Account list research
Here's my ICP: [industry, size, region]. Find 15 companies that fit using public sources, give each a fit score with one-line reasons and a source link, and suggest one contact role to approach. Put it in a table. No outreach.
Save it as a skill

FAQ
Can Grok Bot send cold emails for me?
It can draft them; keep the send with you. Have it save drafts in Gmail and stop for your approval before anything goes out. If it uses LinkedIn or another site with your login, sites can block automation or flag the account, so keep that to reading, not mass messaging.
What's the difference between Grok Bot and ChatGPT for sales outbound?
Grok Bot runs on its own persistent cloud computer, so a Bot can research and draft overnight or on a schedule while you're away. Per this site's comparison (Nov 2026): use ChatGPT Work for one-off multi-step browser jobs; pick Grok Bot for named Bots, skills, and scheduled routines.
Will Grok Bot spam my prospects?
Not if you set the rules. Cap how many drafts it writes per run, tell it to skip contacts in an active deal, and review the list before any email is sent. It should send nothing without your approval.
What should my first sales Bot do?
One job: research the prospects on tomorrow's calendar and draft follow-ups from today's calls, then stop for review. Add a scheduled routine only after a week of drafts you'd actually send.
Does Grok Bot connect to my CRM?
It uses connectors where they exist and the browser for everything else. Check the Connect apps list in your own Bot for your CRM before you plan around it, and keep CRM writes behind your approval.
