Talk to Grok Bot hands-free: voice chat and the iPhone Action Button

Start a voice chat with your Bot on desktop, iPhone, or Android, dictate tasks, and map the iPhone Action Button to your main Bot for one-press handoffs.

What you need

Grok Bot on iPhone (iOS 18+), Android 9+, or desktop
Notifications turned on

Steps

On desktop, press Cmd/Ctrl+D to dictate into the composer, or choose Start voice chat for a live conversation.
On iPhone or Android, use Start dictation or Start voice chat in the conversation.
iPhone tip shared by users: set your Action Button to open a call with your main Bot, so a handoff is one press away.
Hand off a few tasks out loud, then read the summary the Bot sends afterward to catch anything misheard.
Turn on the Bot's notifications so you hear back when it finishes or needs approval.
